Nuclear science gives us a simple explanation of the natural world. The ultimate goal of nuclear science is to find out if there is one fundamental rule that explains how matter and forces interact. Earning the Nuclear Science merit badge is a chance for Scouts to learn about this exciting field at the cutting edge of science today.

Blanco Canoe Race

Posted on Mar 21 2016 - 9:46pm

Boy Scout Canoe Races started in Blanco around 1968 and continued to be an annual event until the early 1980's. In 2014 we had a limited race with scouts from 4 different troops competing. In 2015 we tripled the number of scouts competing. Everyone had a great time so we are opening this year's race to first 36 three man teams.
